Information

Internal investigations will help businesses to uncover and address potential issues of misconduct within their organizations. Handled well, they can help to deter regulatory intervention and limit a company's exposure to lawsuits.

Internal investigations of public servants, be they police, government workers or politicians, are a vital element to prevent corruption in our society.

A major user of Investigator is the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) of Western Australia. Based in Perth, the CCC was established in 2004 and its jurisdiction covers the more than 115,000 Western Australian public officers in some 550 plus agencies that include government departments and boards, universities and local government.

Because Investigator can be easily configured to meet any organizational requirement, the CCC uses the product to capture complaints, and allegations of misconduct by public officers. In their financial year to 30 June 2009, the CCC assessed 2,838 complaints and notifications containing 3,205 allegations. After investigative work, they charged 14 persons, including 10 public officers, with 81 criminal offences.

Investigator provides a single repository to capture all elements of an investigation - documents, statements, transactions, photographs, phone records, and so on. Searching for clues, or for text in any captured document or file, is powerful and fast.

Investigator was designed by investigators for investigators, recognising the huge complexities involved in investigative work, the need for sharing of quality information, and the necessity of solving complex crimes in the shortest possible time.
