Border Protection High on new Australian PM's Agenda Jun 28 2010

Julia Gillard, Australia's new Prime Minister, has announced three policy priorities since her replacement of Kevin Rudd on Thursday morning. One priority is border protection as Prime Minister Gillard believes the number of unauthorised boat arrivals is an important issue for many Australians. She has indicated that her government is committed to providing the Australian people with "strong management of our borders".

Many future unauthorised arrivals could be prevented if the proper analysis and subsequent investigation of cases was performed in time for preventative action to be taken. Peter Duffy APM, of Methodware Australia, says, "Investigator is ideally placed to handle the challenges of managing intelligence-led border protection investigations. The software allows investigators to spend more time connecting the dots and less time organising them, which lets them allocate more resources to actual investigation, not paperwork."
